Pre-Lab

In this class, students will spend the entire year working on various construction projects from trailers to BBQ pits. They will then have the opportunity to showcase their work in shows across the state. Our program has a tradition of producting quality projects that win their classes in our county fair. The projects they build are ordered by members of the local community, so it is especially important that the projects are of quality construction and craftsmanship.

Shop Rules

• Appropriate Clothing for Shop Classes

• Safety glasses MUST be worn at ALL times while in the shop
• Jeans or pants
• Closed toe shoes
• When welding, a long sleeve shirt MUST be worn

  Rules for the Shop

• Always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
• Use tools and equipment properly at ALL TIMES
• PUT TOOLS BACK WHERE THEY GO AT the END OF EACH CLASS PERIOD
• NO HORSEPLAY OR RUNNING
• NO CELL PHONES, FOOD, OR DRINKS IN THE SHOP
• BE IN THE SHOP DRESSED AND READY TO WORK WITHIN 5 MINUTES AFTER THE TARDY BELL RINGS
• ONLY WORK ON YOUR PROJECT
• DO NOT LEAVE THE SHOP WITHOUT PERMISSION
