See You at the Pole 2018

Lauren Thornton

On September 26, from 7:00-7:45 A.M., Hudson ISD will be joining thousands of other schools in the 28th annual See You at the Pole event. The fourth Wednesday in September is the global day of student prayer. This student-led event will consist of multiple prayers for our school and praise music performed by Micah Weir. T-shirts can be purchased in Mrs. Ratcliff’s room for $10. Harmony Hill Baptist Church will be providing orange juice and donuts to those in attendance. One of the event coordinators, MaKiley Rhodes said, “I’m looking forward to singing and getting donuts.” The coordinators will have their third meeting, after school, on Monday, in Mrs. Ratcliff’s room. This year they are going above and beyond to spread the word and get as many people as possible to attend. Gracie England, a prayer leader stated, “I am excited and believe this year’s turn out will be the best we’ve ever had.” Students will come together as one and send prayers and worship up to God. See You at the Pole is a good time for students to forget about the stresses of their life, and pray. MaKiley Rhodes also made the remark, “I am glad we get a chance to reach out to the people who, otherwise, wouldn’t experience God’s love.”  So, Hudson students, set your alarms a little early and join in the See You at the Pole event. Come out and “bow your knees before the Father,” Ephesians 3:14. On September 26, we hope to see you at the pole.
