Project Celebration Mega Raffle

Project Celebration Mega Raffle

Kristina Johnson

Starting this month, Project Celebration 2017 will be selling Mega Monthly Raffle tickets. There will be eight drawings total, beginning in October and ending in May. The price of one ticket is $50, but for the $50 the buyer is entered into the drawings for each month. Therefore, a winner from one month will continue to have his or her ticket(s) entered into the drawings for the following months, which, according to Project Celebration co-chair Kathi Johnson, “is one of the great things about this raffle.” Every monthly prize will be valued at $500 or more.

“We have a real variety of great prizes,” says Johnson. “For example, in December we are giving away a $500 Visa gift card for Christmas shopping, then in February the prize is a beautiful designer bracelet for Valentine’s Day. This is going to be our major fundraiser, so we want to sell all of the tickets as soon as possible.” “Only 500 tickets are sold, so your chances of winning are increased,” she adds.

The monthly prizes are as follows:

October: Deer Hunter’s Dream (a 45-quart Yeti cooler, a deer feeder, and 250 lbs. of

            deer corn)

November: Purse Lover’s Dream (an authentic Louis Vuitton purse)

December: Christmas Shopping (a $500 Visa gift card)

January: Football Package (a 50” Smart TV and food gift cards)

February: Sweetheart Package (a designer bracelet)

March: Family Fun Package (amusement park tickets, hotel accommodations, and a

           Conoco gift card)

April: Spring Frenzy (a $500 Home Depot gift card)

May: College Bound (a Mac Book)

The drawings will be held at the Project Celebration meetings on the second Monday of each month. Seniors can check out packages of tickets to sell for Project Celebration points from Mrs. Tara Mosley or Mrs. Charlotte Huffstetler. There will also be ticket sales outside of Brookshire Brothers on Saturday, September 17, and Saturday, October 1. Johnson says, “If you buy a ticket now you are entered into all eight drawings, so find a senior or senior parent and support Project Celebration!”
