With more clubs, organizations, and college classes requiring volunteer hours, Hudson ISD has come up with a new and effective way to help keep track of all of the work. Now on the Hudson High School website you will find a link under volunteers entitled public service. The public service tab takes you to a new website that allows you to maintain a log of all of your hours. Members of all organizations at Hudson are able to use this amazing feature.

Initially, students who wish to take advantage of this utility app will need to visit the Hudson High School Website, look under the volunteers section of the quick links and select public service. Once you are there, simply enter your name, the name of the event, the location of the the event, the date, your contact for the event, how many hours you worked, and what organization you were doing it for. Volunteers for the Key Club, Student Council, Drug Free All-Stars, College Classes, National Honor Society, or any other organization, can submit their hours. Including those who volunteer for their church or organizations outside of school. Upon each subsequent visit, students can log their hours and the program will keep a running tally of all hours logged by an individual student as well as a tally of each club or organization’s hours.

It is easy to see that this powerful and efficient new tool is extremely handy for all of us. It allows us, as student volunteers, to keep up with our duties effectively and responsibly. In addition to how it helps us, it also benefits our school. Now club sponsors can keep track of how many community hours their students are contributing. It also permits all of us to see how much we volunteer as a whole.

If each Hudson High School student who volunteers in the community would log their hours, everyone would be shocked and encouraged by the staggering amount of work our students contribute to the betterment of society.  Be proud of what you do, and use this helpful link to track your impressive accomplishments!
