Piano Video Project Instructions

Piano Video Project Instructions:

1. Check the chart in class to see when your video is due!  Everyone will have at least one video due every 9 weeks.  You don’t have to wait until the week your video is due to turn it in.  There may be a possibility of    bonus video projects later.

2. Go to Youtube and search for piano performances.  You are looking for videos with 3 qualities:

A. It is COMPLETELY school-appropriate, from start to finish.

B. You feel that it represents a great piano performance.  It features a professional-quality performance on the piano.  The emphasis is on the piano performance, not a vocal or other instrumental performance.

C. It features a professional-quality video recording.  This excludes videos made with people’s iPhones in their living rooms, in the mall, etc.

3. Once you have decided on a video, copy the link and e-mail it to Mrs. Turner at maryturner@hudsonisd.org, with the subject line “Piano Video Project.”

4. On the day that your video is shown, be prepared to briefly discuss it with the class and share why you chose it, what you felt was great about it, etc.
