Solfege Ear Training Apps

There are two apps that can help students build their sight-reading/ear-training ability.

1. Relative Solfege is only downloadable on iPhones or iPads.  Here’s that link:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/relative-absolute-solfege-ear-trainer/id911343247

A few thoughts:

- You can download the app for free.  You can pay for upgraded features, which I have not yet tried.

- The circle on the left with the chord, when tapped, will give you your key center.  The circle on the right with the single eighth note, when tapped, will give you the pitch to be identified.  You tap the circle on the left first, then tap the circle on the right, then choose from the solfege syllables below which note was played by the circle on the right.

- To reset, you can click on the settings icon in the top left corner.  From there, you can also change keys.

2. Functional Ear Training is *technically* available on both Apple and Android products, but I do not recommend that you use in on Apple products.  It is completely different on Apple products and a lot less user-friendly there.  Please use this for Android products.  It is free.
