ENG 1 & ENG 2 Advanced Teacher
I graduated summa cum laude with my Bachelor of Arts in English Education from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2019.
This is my third year teaching at Hudson High School. I love being a Hornet! I currently teach English II, Advanced English II, and UT OnRamps Rhetoric.
My first year teaching was during the 2019-20 school year at Dayton High School in Dayton, TX, where I taught English 2. After that, I taught ESL to Korean students aged 6-15 in South Korea during the 2020-21 school year before starting at Hudson in 2021.
I have a two corgi mixes: Dilly and Stormy. They are ridiculously playful, cute, and loving. They play with their friends at the dog park every evening! Check out my photo album for pictures of them.
I also have 6 siblings, and I’m an uncle to 14!
When I’m not inspiring a love for reading and writing, I like to do outdoor activities, like visiting national parks, hiking, camping, fishing, and skiing (as often as a Texan can). I value quality time with my family, friends, and dog. I also enjoy time reading a good book alongside a cup of coffee or tea. As my favorite author, C.S. Lewis, once said, “You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.”
